Kamloops RCMP collecting toys for Stuff the Cruiser on Saturday

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops Mounties will be working to ‘Stuff the Cruiser’ this Saturday (Dec. 2), gathering toys for Christmas Amalgamated.
Police officers and volunteers will be set up outside of Toys ‘R’ Us on Notre Dame Drive, collecting unwrapped toys and donations for kids and teens in the Kamloops area.
“This year, we’ll be returning to Toys ‘R’ Us on Notre Dame now that it’s reopened once again,” says Cpl. Crystal Evelyn. “We’ll be set up there with our volunteers. You’ll see us decked out with our seasonal spirit.”
Last year’s event collected around $5,000 worth of toys and gifts and Evelyn says organizers hope to be able to drop off a similar sized load to Christmas Amalgamated.
“It’s nice for everybody to get a gift and it would be really nice to be able to help provide for the kids and the youth of Kamloops.”
Stuff the Cruiser will be set up outside of Toys ‘R’ Us at 500 Notre Dame Drive on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
