The Mustard Seed parts ways with Coldest Night of the Year
KAMLOOPS — The Mustard Seed announced it will no longer take part in a winter tradition in Kamloops.
In a news release issued Friday (Dec. 16) morning, the Mustard Seed says it decided to part ways with Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY) as of February 2023.
“After careful and prayerful deliberation, we have decided that the cost to partner with CNOY has become far greater than the benefits to the people and communities we serve,” Rowena Browne, the Mustard Seed’s chief development officer states.
The Mustard Seed Kamloops, formerly known as New Life Community, has taken part in the family-friendly walk that raises money for charitable organizations since 2012. CNOY took place virtually twice in 2021 and 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In place of partaking in CNOY, the Mustard Seed says it will be planning an event for our supporters to participate in.
