Heavy snow and winter storm warnings remain for some B.C. highways
MERRITT — Environment Canada has issued heavy snow warnings on many major British Columbia highways.
Travellers on Interior B.C. highways can expect heavy snowfall as well as winter storms on certain highways.
There is a winter storm warning for the Nicola Region on the Okanagan Connector from Merritt to Kelowna as hazardous winter conditions are expected.
In the Okanagan Valley, there is a winter storm warning on the Okanagan Connector from Merritt to Kelowna.
On Highway 3 from the Paulson Summit to Kootenay Pass, there is also a winter storm warning.
In Elk Valley, there is a snow warning and in West Kootenay, there is a winter storm warning from the Paulson Summit to Kootenay Pass.
Drivers are reminded to check for updates on road conditions and use caution when using the roads, especially during winter conditions.
