LYTTON, B.C. — A fire that has burned along Highway 12 near Lytton since mid-July caused a small evacuation order Friday (Aug. 4).
The Thompson Nicola Regional District says residents of two properties, 3892 and 3907 Spencer Road North, should leave immediately.

The TNRD says the Stein Mountain wildfire is causing an immediate threat to those two properties.
The B.C. Wildfire Service says the Stein Mountain fire was first discovered on July 12. Since then, it has grown to 333 hectares. It is visible from Highway 12 and the Fraser River north of Lytton.
