WolfPack signs local product for Women’s Volleyball
KAMLOOPS — The Thompson Rivers WolfPack just announced local all-star Ella Sladden has committed to the WolfPack women’s volleyball team.
The 5-11 outside hitter is known for her energy on the field and ability to play in high-pressure moments. Head coach Chad Grimm said a player with these qualities is the perfect fit for the team.
“Ella is a dedicated student-athlete that will not only add to the culture of our team but will give us more depth in the outside hitting position,” said Grimm.
Sladden spent the last season playing in Nanaimo with the Vancouver Island Mariners in the PacWest conference of the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association and is excited to defend her hometown WolfPack.
“They offer a really supportive environment. There’s a lot of emphasis on putting the person first instead of just putting the athlete first,” she explained.
Sladden plans to study business at TRU this fall and will be competing with her new teammates in September.
