Train derails in Mission Flats area of Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — UPDATE (3:45 p.m.): CP Rail says there are no hazardous goods aboard the train that has derailed.
Update 3:40 pm: CP Rail has confirmed there are no hazardous goods on board the derailed train cars.

UPDATE (3:25 p.m.): CFJC Today’s Michael Reeve is on scene. He says there appear to be 14 cars involved.
Grain can be seen spilling from some of the cars.
CP Rail officials are on scene as well.

EARLIER (3:15 p.m.): Multiple sources are reporting a train derailment off the CP Rail tracks in the Mission Flats area of Kamloops.
Photos from the scene show several train cars strewn about in the area.
CFJC Today is working to confirm details.
