Former Lower Nicola chief announces run for B.C. NDP president

MERRITT, B.C. — Former Chief of the Lower Nicola Indian Band Aaron Sumexheltza has announced his candidacy for the role of President of the B.C. NDP.
Sumexheltza was also the NDP’s candidate for MLA in Fraser-Nicola in the last election, losing to Liberal Incumbent Jackie Tegart.
